Period cottages close to the Lake District
Bigland Hall’s period cottages near Newby Bridge enjoy a unique location that provides guests with the best of both worlds: an immediate setting of a private, rural estate, and the wider setting of the Lake District and all that it has to offer.
Close to the small village of Backbarrow in the South Lakes, every beautifully restored window in our cottages opens up a new and breathtaking view. It’s impossible to walk by without stopping for a moment to drink in your surroundings. The estate is also ideal for moments spent in your hot tub – seeing the sun drop at the end of the day or watching the stars on a clear night. Our estate is definitely a peaceful idyll to return to after a day of adventuring.
