Luxury Lake District Holiday Cottages: Interior & Exterior Layout
Our six luxury Lake District cottages are located on the southerly edge of the National Park. They are tucked away on the outskirts of Backbarrow village, just a couple of miles from Newby Bridge and a short drive to the South Lakeland towns of Ulverston, Windermere and Kendal.
Each of the cottages boasts a carefully positioned hot tub and an outdoor area with patio furniture and a barbecue. The hot tubs make the most of our stunning setting and are exclusively yours to use day and night for the duration of your stay. This luxury touch means you can soak up the breathtaking views across the Leven Estuary and relax in true Lakeland style – with a cup of tea or a glass of fizz in hand.
As with all of our cottages, Oak has some amazing window spaces – particularly the master bedroom with its restored timber truss and glass. The window seat in front of the large picture window is a spot you’ll want to spend time in.
Oak Cottage is arranged over three floors. Five bedrooms, all with Smart TVs. On the ground floor you’ll find: two super king size, can be twin on request (one with with en suite shower, basin and WC and one with companion bathroom with bath and shower over, basin and WC) and, one king size with en suite shower, basin and WC.
Upstairs on the first floor you will find a spacious open plan living area that includes the kitchen and dining areas, and a sitting area with wood burner. There’s also a WC and basin, and a well-equipped utility room. A further two bedrooms are located on the second floor: one super king size, can be twin on request, with shower, basin and WC, and, one king size with shower, basin and WC.
Fuel, power and starter pack for the wood burner are included in the rental fee, as are bed linen and towels. A travel cot and highchair can be requested.
